Well the other day i was out in the garage having a cigarette and a beer(blue moon)
I noticed another stock 1g bov i had laying around, that was crushed. So i decided to put it on real quick. Well when i took off the other one, it had a crack all the way throughWTF
The bov was actually still functioning properly and boost was not even dropping off 1psi
Im assuming when tightened down it was still sealing pretty good i guess.
I'm assuming this was caused by over torquing the bolt, but I would assume the bolt would break off before this would happen to the bov, although it is cast aluminum
I would have never even noticed had it not been for me just randomly swapping the parts.
I've never seen it on the bunch that i've ever used
I was just curious if this happened to anybody else?

It wasn't hard to take off
so maybe that's why i didn't notice any ill effects. There really wasn't much if any improvement felt by switching them out
that's what i've been leaving out of this topic
I just would have thought the crappy bolts would have broke before this
