CPS question swap

So I have a 95 gst and I believe my CPS is bad, and may be the reason i'm not getting fuel to cylinders 3 and 4 and only 1 and 2. I have a spare head off a 99 gst with the newer design CPS. Is there anyway i can leave mine on my head, but use the newer style? thanks guys
