Hey guys, first time post here, been browsing through here and google but cant really find what im looking for. first off im new to DSM(i have a lancer ralliart that i played with prior to the dsm) and picked up a 1g gst. now i know MAINTENANCE. Well after swapping on a 2 g exhaust manifold, i have a new issue.

my oil pressure gauge all the sudden started reading lower at idle, in netween the L line and the first line. Was not to worried as i know the stock gauge is crap and i plan to go pick up a new gauge later today. BUT since its done that the car wont hold idle. yesterday it died on me twice. today after car warmed up it died every time. So i read possibly ISC, BUT i cannot seem to find the ISC on the 1g. i see videos for the 2 g ISC but its clearly not the same spot. any ideas for any of this?

That is odd, did you happen to replace the gasket as well?
You could have a leak and not even know it, and check oil level if you havent already.
And the isc on the 1g is right there on the throttle body, or slightly below it

Its the same on 91-99 its in a different spot on 90s. Its below the the TPS on the side of the TB and the wiring connector is on the other side.

ah makes sense i have a 1990. and yes the gaskets were replaced. on a side not the car was taken to a shop for the oil feed line hole in the head. stripped out had a helicoil put in. not sure if that would matter on whats going on now.

LOL im going through the same thing now, and I might have to go the helicoil route as well.
Any noticeable oil leaks ?
Hopefully they didnt mess up when putting that helicoil in.

no leaks at all. they did a good job on its. showed me a video of the work they prssurized the head to blow out any aluminum chips so none got in the line/head.

hows the connection to the sensor that reads the oil pressure, i would double check that just to make sure youre not getting a false reading before u start removing things.

The connection looks iffy on it. If I'm looking at the right thing. A small connector on the oil filter housing got two or three wires going into it?
