could bad turbo be my problem??

so i jest got a tsi and the turbo is bad on it....it drives but needs to be replaced soon..here are my list of problems tho..white smoke out of exhaust,looks like its burning oil,my car revs to 2000 rpm while im still or have the clutch in...so my question is could the bad turbo be the reason for all this?

It is hard to understand what you mean about the car revving to 2000 RPM. Do you mean the idle goes up to 2000 RPM without you touching the gas?

As for white smoke out of the exhaust, a bad turbo can certainly be one of the causes for this. So can bad valve stem seals. When your car is cool take off your intake pipe and check the turbo for shaft play. The shaft should only move up and down slightly and not move in and out at all. If it wiggles all over the place then the turbo is dead for sure.
