Langley,
what would it run me to do a 3angle valve job, 1mm valves, HKS cams, cam gears, springs, retainers, etc.? Also, what would be the advantage of using a 272 exhaust cam instead of a 264?

You need to leave the exhaust cam stock. The exhaust cam on our vehicles are the same as that of the turbo cars. We see the biggest improvement when we add intake cams with higher lift and longer duration. Bigger exhaust cams will kill some of our backpressure and take away a lot of our low end power. As for the HKS 264 and 272 for the intake cam, I'd ask somebody that's done it. I know the turbo guys complain of lopey idle with the 272.

272 is more of a race cam than the 264, 264 is like your high performance street... still a smooth idle... the 272 is more power BUT not exactly made for a smooth idle and not exactly made for low rpms. (atleast from what i read on a website selling them)

well i can give you a general idea...
my full race head cost me 900 bones
thats with full port and polish job with a 3 angel valve job, 1mm oversized ss valves coated valve springs and titanium retainers pt curser lifters and followers
i payed 500 for my crane 16's
and i payed 125 for my ajustable cam gears
:thumb:
ps if you do major work to your head get your intake port and polihed or get a modified intake :D
