I posted a similar question about overheating, but the car doesnt overheat anymore. Ok so I replaced the factory coolant overflow bottle with this little one from an autoparts store, it doesnt have the level sensor in there. I also replaced the cap near the thermostat, and the skinny overflow hose.
I run the car for awhile, the bottle fills a very little bit. I let it sit overnight the coolant gets sucked back in the engine a very little bit. My question is... shouldnt the amount of coolant to/from the overflow tank be more??? Does that skinny overflow tube rely on gravity at all to suck the coolant in/out of the engine? The overflow tube is connected to the bottom of this resivior that sits flat inside the engine bay, and then there is another tube near the top that allows too much coolant to run off.
