2G Coolant problem

Ok so I have a 95 Eclipse GST. After a drive today I noticed a gurgling sound in my engine so I felt the top radiator hose and it was soft and warm. But the temp gauge was in the normal spot. Also the cooling fans were not on and the engine seemed pretty damn hot. what could this issue be? Almost like the coolant was boiling inside my engine but like I said. The car did not indicate it was overheating. Could it be the thermostat is bad? Also car has 129k miles. Thanks

Burping your system won’t hurt anything and verify your overflow tank is at it proper level.

I recall resolving this, this way and on another car later it turned out I needed a radiator cap, after the car began to overheat, after making those bubble noises.

Radiator cap is more likely. System not only needs enough coolant (and correct ratio) but it's also under pressure. Rad cap is what accomplishes this. You need to check three things, coolant level, coolant concentration and rad cap. Cap is cheap enough to just replace no matter what.

Ok I’m gonna try that when I get off work. the tank is kinda low but I didn’t think it was low enough to cause an issue
