Looks like our cars are really getting old.
Anyway on to the point,I found my coolant leak today, and its leaking right at the point where the main coolant tube and the pipe with the 02 sensor holder on it thats going towards the firewall/heater core are attached.I figured no big deal I'll just order a new one from the dealer,come to find out after about 20 minutes of the parts guy looking up every possible year that the pipe would fit and checking other dealers as well as mitsu themselves just to see if anyone had one.The results were the same, the coolant pipe for a 1G turbo is OBSOLETE!!!!.
If anyone has any links or knows a place that has them PM me. I'm hoping that this might be a florida issue and maybe somebody will have one in another state.
For now im going to take the pipe off and see if i can weld it up to stop the leak.
Hopefully a vendor/fabricator will see this and decide to make a nice aluminum or Stainless Steel coolant pipe
. If not, doesnt look like there wont be too many new engine build projects happening next year.
