After I drive my car for a few minutes and park it, the thermostat housing is smoking along with the rest of the engine(the other smoke may be related to the newly painted downpipe). When I remove the cap on the housing there is no coolant in there and the coolant is boiling past the thermostat. Coolant is not overflowing out of the bottle and there does not appear to be any bubbles in it while the car runs at idle. I have an underdrive pulley on, which may not be spinning the water pump fast enough. Other than that I do not know why coolant does not stay in the upper part of the housing.

First drain your coolant to the min level. I didnt drain mine I just took this sucker deal and stuck it down in there and sucked it out. Which ever you wanna do. And then find your fuse(one of the big black ones) for your radiator fans. Take the cap off the fuse. Hold the fuse sides so the points touch and the fans should turn on. If they dont, I dont know what to tell you. If they do, put the cap back on the fuse. Check your wiring terminal for your coolant thermostat. If ya dont know where that is I suggest getting a manual, it helps alot for wiring. If those wires are the problem then just repair them and your good. If not, try replacing the fuse. The radiator fans might not be coming on, but if they are then this isnt your problem.

My fan comes on when it should and the temp gauge never goes past where it usually is.
