So I have a unique situation methinks. SO heres the deal: Yesterday, car ran fine. Engine is completely stock. When I got home I noticed the temp gauge seemed a bit high but thought nothing of it as it was about 104 out. Today I went out and lo and behold, car was as high as it could go on the tem gauge so I pulled over and got it towed home. Here are my observations:

Car drives fine right after starting up.
Car idles and does not overheat.
No oil in coolant.
No smoke anywhere.
Boiling coolant in overflow after driving about 5 minutes and car beyond H.
I let the car cool and tried driving around the block, fastest I got was about 35-40 mph and it still overheated.
I don't quite know what to do here, any help would be great.
If it helps you all any, my A/C does not get cold but the heat works.

Help me DSMtuners, you're my only hope. (star wars pun intended)

SEARCH.

Overheating is the most covered topic on this forum. There are literally hundreds of threads on this topic with more springing up every summer.

If the coolant is actually boiling then you probably arent building pressure in the system and may have a leak somewhere. Drain and flush the coolant and replace the thermostat and cap. Dont forget to "burp" the system after flushing it.

could be head gasket failure. When it starts to over heat, ge tteh revs up and let them come down without usign the brakes (e.g. - engine braking) and see if it cools off (purpose is to create a vacum). Try it the other way too, e.g. - rev the engine way out a few times nad see if the temp comes down. do all this under load.
