I need to replace my control arm bushings because there is a lot of play in mine and i want a stiffer more responsive suspension so I was wondering if anyone has opinions on replacing these with polyurethane ones good or bad idea? Im a FWD by the way

hey guys! I had replaced mine with the suspension techniques in my 91 gst a while ago and I have been very happy with them. I really did not notice any significant roughness in ride at all. They were however a major pain to change. A little tip,...use a torch. It did wonders for me.

oh, and just in case take a look at your tie rod ends. I had reason to believe that they went bad because of my old contol arm bushings. It's worth a quick look.

I am in a process of replacing my front control arm bushings. So far I got the bushings installed on the driver side, tomorrow will be the passenger side. I was PITA loosening the nuts and the bolts. Use WD40 or equivalent the night before trying to loosen them. Good luck.
