Still have a problem with my car, whenever I turn and give it gas when moving.. i hear a faint knocking sound almost like a steady knocking, had it for awhile, no worse, just very annoying not knowing what it is, its a 95 eagle talon trubo fwd with 2.5 downpipe and 3 inch cat back.. and ideas? thanks

Have you inspected your CV joints lately? It could be possible that they are worn and that is the sound that you are hearing. Another possibility is that it could be your ball joints. I had a similiar sound coming from my fronts. I didn't think too much of it then they failed. You say you have a FWD but your profile says you have an AWD. If infact you do have a AWD, it could be your center differential. My friend has a 91 AWD and his center carrier bearing knocks when you give it some gas. Check these things and report back.

Exactly :thumb: My first guess would be the ball bearings or CV joints. My car currently makes a "pop" noise when I turn sharp, stop, or begin to accelerate from a stop. I also need to fix this. Looks like we are in a similar boat but I would get that checked immediately it sound really bad.

im 99% sure its one of your front outer cv joints. check for grease eveywhere just inside on the wheel and the boot on the axle, its probably torn. at this point, its easier and cheaper to just get a new or reman axle.

yours sounds more like a balljoint

thanks ill check that out and let you guys know what I find out.. its been doing it for awhile.. very slight.. last I checked ann boots were good and I replaced bad ones.. checked the axels about a year ago when I had the motor out.. Ill re check them and see.. the noise mainly started after I put the exhaust on I noticed it a week or so afterwards, My car is a FWD I use to have an AWD.. thanks
