Looking for some advice on stepping up my tune a bit. I see zero knock at any RPM as is. Please disregard the strange fluctuations you may see, as my BOV is currently venting to the atmosphere and my IACV is basically toast (idle is surging until operating temperature is achieved....which is hindered by thermostat being stuck open)

My mods are:
FP 71HTA w/ td06sl2 turbine, 84mm flow advancement port
AEM progressive methanol kit, 50/50 mix
FIC 850cc injectors
Punishment Racing FMIC w/ knock off greddy type S bov
Walbro 255 pump, rewired
Punishment Racing o2 housing
FP racing manifold
2g MAF
MBC @ 23-24 psi (seems to be maxed, new spring or EBC needed?)
AEM afpr
Innovate LC1
Autometer boost gauge
ECMlink v3
(feel like i'm missing something, but maybe not)

Thank you kindly in advance!

My apologies for very few pulls and not hitting the higher RPMs, I dont have much highway space around here. Although I swear my tach showed me hitting 6k+ on at least one or two of the pulls? Strange

A good way to log is to find a hill on the highway. A long hill if you can. Start in 4th gear at 1k rpms and floor it. This will provide a lot of data points to tune from because your rpm will climb slowly and leave you in each boost row for a lot longer than normal driving would.

Your log may be good now but i don't have dsmlink to look at it.

1) Fill out your profile with a full mod list and information about the car. Year, make, model, etc...

2) You list an Innovate LC1 WB in your template, however you don't have one configured nor are you logging it. Fix your wideband.

3) You list multiple mechanical issues which will surely affect your tune. Take care of those first, and then ask for tuning advice. You'll have a hard time getting a consistent tune with a vented BOV and inconsistent coolant temperatures. I doubt many people are going to put in the time and effort to help tune your car if you don't put in the time and effort to get it as mechanically sound as possible.

4) Right off the bat, you global fuel seems way high for 850 cc injectors at 38 psi BFP.

5) If stepping up your tune means being a bit more aggressive, you need to post a 3rd gear pull from about 3k to redline at WOT. I can't do anything for you with data in the log you posted.

You do know that you can download the ECMlink desktop software for free, right? You don't actually have to own or use ECMlink to view logs and learn how the software works.

Thank you for the response. I am definitely putting in the time and effort to get it mechanically sound, as I have spent countless hours and dollars in the past weeks trying to get things right. Vented BOV should be remedied very soon, and the thermostat has been changed. I will post an updated log soon. I am running open loop at the moment because of a defective o2 which is to be replaced in the coming days.

What should I have my global fuel at since I have FIC 850cc injectors?

Regards,
J

Thank you GST but it's more of a "by choice" thing than it is a "I can't figure out how to" thing. :)

Also, any decent powered car will blow the tires off in 3rd gear. My car goes to redline in 3rd gear very quickly and that's why I suggested he use a hill and 4th gear. To each their own, but I think doing 4th gear pulls has allowed me to dial WOT tunes in much faster than anything else.

Your last post just further reinforces my point. You may not really need your O2 for WOT tuning, but the fact there's another known issue with the car further demonstrates that you need to address those before you start any real tuning. Think of a good tune as a new roof on a house. You can put a baller roof on a cardboard box...But at the end of the day it's still a $hitty cardboard box. A mechanically sound car is the cornerstone of a fast and well tuned car.

As far as your fuel adjustment goes, you can use the built in calculator ECMlink has provided to get a base adjustment, and adjust from there as needed afterward. When tuning for stoich, the calculator says @ 38 PSI BFP on 850cc injectors you should be somewhere around -47.8%. Also, according to ECMlink's table, deadtime should be around 330, but where you had is set was fairly close.

You can use this cart to reference global deadtime in the future: https://www.ecmtuning.com/wiki/baseinjectordata

Correct your mechanical issues, then come back and post so we can help you more with the tune. Good luck!

I just assumed you didn't have the software required to view the log, hence my post. Many people newer to ECMlink think you need to purchase ECMlink to have the software, which isn't the case. I'm not sure what you mean when you say it's a "by choice" thing; Just like I'm also not sure why you would want to give advice without viewing the log when the thread is asking specifically for log advice.

Contrary to your experience, I've seen very few cars blow the tires off from a 3rd gear roll (AWD cars that is), especially if you're on decent tires. I'd be interested in seeing that in another thread...
