I am thinking about increasing my boost to 20 psi. Right now the car is boosting 15 psi. I bought it that way and the previous owner said he set it at 15 psi to preserve the engine. I know he also did it because he was leaking boost bad. The car has been hitting fuel cut at 4-5 rpm ever since I got it a month and a half ago. I checked the entire car for leak, all hosing, pipes, and even bots on turbo. I tight up everything and fixed all gaskets from manifold to muffler and also replaced the muffler. Finally fixed the fuel cut, thank GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Someone put me on the list, one more DSM to overcome fuel cut! Now my question is will my car be able to handle 20 psi for the long run? I have another car so I don’t drive this car that much, plan to put in about 2,000 miles per year only. I have two friends who were boosting 20 psi on a 96 Talon AWD and 92 Eclipse AWD, mainly stock except for the boost controller and exhaust. Both of their cars are now dead and I don’t want mine to end up that way. Of course they drove their car more regularly than mine and I also have a lot more upgrades than they do. How much are other people boosting? What is the difference between 15 psi and 20 psi?

i find that i hit fuel cut at about 18 psi,.... also with the t25 turbo, i think youll run into other problems besides fuel cut at 20 psi...just stay at 15 til you get a larger pump and some other supporting mods,... make sure you have something to watch knock with, cuz thats what normally kills engines, not too high boost... too high boost just creates knock...

Brush Aluminum Dash Kit,Indiglow dash guage with color adjustment,Momo shift knob and boot, short shifter, Apexi AFCII, HKS Turbo Timer, Manual Boost controller, AC boost and air fuel guages, Alarm with auto starter and auto activation. This is cool because you can leave the car alone while the turbo timer is on and walk away. If anyone comes close to the car after the turbo timer stop, it will lock it self. No longer have to sit and wait for turbo timer to stop like I did with my civic
Yes, with all these cool performance mods, you should be able run 30 psi all day long... :D

Seriously though, nothing in that list constitutes a performance mod except for safc and it has no business of being there in the first place unless the profile isn't complete. You're basically stock and are limit to 15-16psi because of several things.

1. Stock 2G bov starts to leak at about 12psi, you're already overworking the T25 boosting 15psi.

2. Stock fuel system.

3. T25 usually drops off at higher rpms, you're lucky it's holding 15psi at 6k+.

Sorry dude. I have some info in the wrong spot. Here is the other info.

EVOIII Turbo upgrade and o2 housing, Injen intake, Apexi 3" stainless steel turbo back exhaust & muffler, Apexi upper intercooler Pipe, HKS blow off valve, RC 550 injectors, Walbro 255 fuel pump, NGK wire and spark plug.

Does that sound better?

Yes. There're only two things missing in there.

1. An afpr to prevent stock fpr overrun.

2. A data logger so you can tune it instead of guessing what psi to set.
