Computer upgrades

Ok heres the deal, I drive a 93 Talon ES (Automatic <<< DAMMIT!!).. any way, I know the basic mods like exhaust, intake n' shit like that but there's not much else to do unless i go all out for a turbo conversion, which is pointless with an auto, plus i can't afford it now. I've heard computer upgrades can get alot of hidden power out. Anybody know how complicated it is and if its even worth it?...
