compressor surge maybe??

I put new hard intercooler pipes on on top and i started my car and im getting a whistle that wasn't there before. I'm new to turbo'd cars pretty much and wondering if this is compressor surge or just the new noise the pipes are making.

That sounds like just the bov whistle the ngr makes at low rpms. The hard piping just makes it much more noticeable and louder which why you are hearing it now. Compressor surge will sound more like a flutter.

This is the common sound for compresor surge. Not a dsm but still the same.

When I had recirculating tube off and cover the hole on the intake. When I rev'd it up it sounded like there was air coming out of the filter when I lefted of the throttle. Which I'm guessing would be the bov is to tight?

The BOV needs to be recirculated the way you have it in the videos. You can loosen up the adjustment if you wish but basically you want it to be as stiff as possible without getting surge. To lose and it's going to create essentially a boost leak and the valve will still open when it should be closed.

I have the same BOV and it can be a little fussy to get to the right adjustment.
