Hoping to not get yelled at for this post but Ive spent at least a few days searching trying to find relevant answers on this and other forums and just google searching and I havent been able to find an answer to this.
I did a compression test on my 98 gsx and my results are as follows.
Cylinder 4: ~180psi 6-7 cranks
Cylinder 3: ~180psi 7-8 cranks
Cylinder 2: ~180psi 6-7 cranks
Cylinder 1: ~180psi 26 cranks?
Now just fyi, I should probably state the test was done cold. Hence the lower pressures.
And When doing the test initially I cranked it 10 times for each cylinder and recorded the Psi it achieved as well as approximately how many cranks it took to reach the max psi.
Cylinder 1 only reached about ~150 psi after the initial 10 cranks but was still climbing so I decided to retest that cylinder and crank it til it reached its max pressure. That is when it climbed to the ~180 but took a ridiculous amount of cranks to get there.
Im not sure what this means, every thing ive researched hasnt mentioned anything of what could be the problem if it DOES indeed reach the same psi but take over twice as many cranks to build that pressure!
Any help would be amazing, and Im sorry if this has been answered before, ive been hesitant about posting this, but I have spent days looking for the answer on here.
