Got a 93 2.0 Fresh motor with a turbo. Crower Stage two cams, springs and retainers, with new style lifters. When cams are torqued down they hold the exaust valves open enough that I have 0 compression except for #4 with about 90 lbs. You loosen the caps on the exaust cam and check compression you get 110lbs. accross the board. What should I look for? The caps are on as numbered 1, 2, 3,etc. I am bumming out and want to fire it up tonight.

LOL, how are you getting those compression numbers? How are checking compression without the cam being torqued down? Are you at #1 TDC? Are the timing marks lined up? Did you put the right cam gears back on the right cams.

Bleed the lifters.

these lifters are brand new..and they were pre-oiled...had a ASE certified head shop do my whole head setup..

why would i only have to bleed the exhaust side ? the intake side has the same lifters in it and they are just as new..they arent having a problem..

Maybe they didn't pump all the oil out after they pre-oiled them.

i had the lifters bled..that wasnt the problem either : ( .. the machinest that did the work said i have 2 choices...take the head back off and he'll cut some of the valve stem off or take out the lifters and he'll shave the bottom side of the lifter down some...so im gonna take the lifters in 2morrow and put them back in and see how everything turns out...
