hmm. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't the turbo's center section have to be cracked all of the way through to cause coolant to go into the compressor housing?

That's pretty much what it would take since the coolant and oil couldn't mix any other way. What remains to be seen is if there's a way that coolant could have been leaking badly through cylinder four (where the plug was wet) into the comp housing and down into the I/C piping. I'd think that it would take a rather heavy volume of coolant to do this though.

I'm admittedly not experienced enough to venture a guess as to whether that could happen. Perhaps with someone more mechanical knowledge than me can offer their firsthand impressions.

alright...found the culprit. The o-ring between the IAC or FIAV and the TB had a 2mm break right in the middle. The coolant in the turbo outlet was from me panicking :D

It must have dripped from the IC pipes I removed. Almost done the FMIC, Injectors, Fuels Pump and EVO3 upgrade. I'll post a pic of the o-ring and the final setup when done.

Hopefully that's it. We deducted that the HG is still good seeing as all head tests were passing flawlessly. Engine is going for rebuild in the winter anyway, and it's almost here :(

Thanks for the help btw!! Kudos to all of you.

Status update: I snapped an exhaust manifold bolt...fixing it in the morning. If only this could have been an easy thing for once

anyway, the only way to learn and increase knowledge is to mess up somtimes :D

I'll let you know when its all done tomorrow.

Upgrade completed...I think however I have boost creep...posted in Turbo section for feedback.

Here are the pics of the culprit....broken FIAV O-Ring
