so I was walking up the driveway yesterday past my car and I noticed that my a pillar pod was not real tight against the stock a pillar plastic, I could see the gauge wires runngin down behind there and thought to myself, that looks like sh1t. I started thinking about how this overlayed 3 gauge pod piece of plastic is such a hlaf-ass3d way to mount 3 gauges. I like the spot (even though sometimes its difficult to see around it when cornering left) but when I can see wires peaking through and the thing is sagging it really irritates me. Not to mention the plastic speaker cover doesn't fit, I can make it fit but I'd have to dremel the crap out of it.

So I was thinking of having a complete 1 pc 3 gauge pillar pod made that replaces the stock a pillar plastic that runs all the way back to the b pillar.

Where can I have a piece like this made?

A plastic mold injection company <---really expensive or a body shop?

Are there any of you that would be interested in this 1 pc 3 gauge pod a pillar replacement?

Dude, if you can see wires, then you installed it wrong.

I was thinking the same thing, LOL.

I think there would be a market for a full replacement like the 2gs have, but I wouldn't know where to start to produce something like that.

On second thought, did you buy one of those universal guage pods where you have to heat shrink it to the pillar or something? If you go with the proper ones from summit or somewhere, they fit perfect.

everything was installed correctly, it just sags in the middle. It is a poorly made pc of plastic and I am not satisfied with it.

Other than that there is really no place else to put three gauges. Since I live in AZ I'd like to keep my center dash vent. My last car I had 3 gauges installed there and IMO it looks very cool but I'm not interested in doing that again or giving up my main source of cold air.

You can see a pic on the 3 guages in my gallery/profile. You can not see the wires from sitting in the drivers seat (as you can see in the pic) but if someone is driving next to me or standing looking at the car from a certain angle they can see the wires and see the pod sagging a bit. I guess I could use some double sided tape to try and hold the pod to the stock plastic pillar but in AZ 100+ degree heat it won't last long and I'll be back to trying to figure out how to fix a half ass3d way of mounting gauges

I would love to pass down the link that FiReBReTHa passed down to me, I just got my full pillar gauge pod today and it is stout! The color is so flush to the car, great price (53 bucks shipped!), only took two days to ship, and comes with two colored rivets to match the pillar. Couldn't be any happier. Good luck :thumb: :talon:

thanks for the link but that looks just like mine except that its color is grey vs my black one. I am looking for one (or to have one made) that is a complete replacement piece that extends from the bottom of the a pillar by the speaker all the way back to the b pillar.
