hey guys im replacing my hg and i was wondering if its ok to use the cometics 85.5 bore on the stock 85mm. and if it is, should i still use the copper spray?

Yes it is ok. Copper spray is always recommended on any gasket.

Yeah, they are good head gaskets. Definitely use copper spray and make sure everything is torqued down etc properly. I'd upgrade to some arp studs while you are at it too.

I just put a cometic headgasket on my car and cometic recommends a dry installation. IE- No copper spray. Do a search and you will find mixed opinions, but I would trust the product company before people on the internet. I think the old cometics maybe supposed to use copper spray. But mine said dry installation recommended.

And yes the 85.5 bore hg will work with the stock bore. I think you can even use the 86 hg too.

alright thanks guys this helps alot. and yep i got the studs so were all good
