I probably should know this but I am not sure..

If you have a bad coil pack is it a good idea to replace both coil packs or just the bad one?

Thanks guys. - Brandon W.

Too many variables to decide the usual life of the part, but generally it's a pretty long lasting part. I would spend the extra to get two.

If you're replace one replace the other. Think of it like it should be done on the master and slave cylinders.

Buy used, they're' a dime a dozen. Also before you do, measure the resistance in the coils to make sure they're absolutely not useful. ~30k ohms is the standard

Yeah, I checked resistance on mine. I couldn't really get any solid numbers or anything from my digital multimeter. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Anyhow, I know that one i changed was bad because the car ran afterward LOL.
