I have searched every possible solution for this code 0044 (ignition circuit malfunction) and have come up empty handed, anyone who has had this issue in the past never says what resolved the issue unless nobody has ever fixed it.
car starts fine and idles fine for about 10 minutes then bogs out and drops idle to 500 running on two cylinders. If anyone could could help with this it would be very much appreciated.

well i know when it bogs i lose spark in cylinders 2 and 3, iam trying to configure it with my ecmlink but iam very new to it and really dont want to mess anything up. all i have really checked is for spark which i have great spark when it starts on all 4 cylinders, is there a heat compound or grease that needs to be on the coil plate? cause it seams to only do it when the car gets close to operating temperature.

Have you already started tuning with ecmlink? is this installed on your car already? You will need to dial in your injectors and run a MafAdjust to configure the proper airflow for idle and cruising

yes its already been installed and tuned for the 550 injectors, i just purchased the vehicle and the guy i bought it from couldnt figure it out either so thought i would try

i just cant seem to wrap my head around the 2 cylinder issue

A bad transistor pack can make your car run on 2 cylinders, so can a bad coil, CAS or ECU. You are going to have to test all those things to find out which one is causing the problem. You can test them by swapping them with working parts , getting a manual and looking up the testing procedures for each part or searching on here, vfaq, etc.. for information on how to test them.

Iam going to swap tge coils on monday and hope that works, but will try to test what i can over the weekend and see what i come up with, i may ha e to send my ecu back to ecmlink to see if its damaged or needs reprograming.
Thanks to all for the help and as soon as i figure out the issue i will be sure to post a solution so that others can finally have an swer to this unkown mistery

Ps if someone does have any other insight please share thanks

ok so i switched the coil packs around to see if it was one bad coil stopping the spark on cylinders 2 and 3 but its the same issue so iam ruling out coil packs, its almost imposible to find a local spare ecu without buying an entire car, but from my understanding i just need a 1g 1990 tsi awd ecu and cant be anything else is that correct? and because i have ecm link does the spare ecu need to have it as well?

does anyone know how to test an ecu or have a link to a how to? i cant find anything

tested the coils there good, found a broken wire on my CAS pulled it apart and rewired it all, power transister is new but tested the harness side with this how to

got the light to come on by plugging in the 12v light to the #6 yellow/red port before plugging in the pos wire from the 1.5v batt to the yellow/black port which i dont understand and hopefully that tells me i have an issue with my wiring, harness, or ecu
after all this still no change if anyone can help please do this is my only car at the moment and i need to drive to work and daycare daily thanks

I made a video of the issue the youtube link is 1990 Talon Cylinder Issue - YouTube, should be posted within the hour. please let me know if you see something or know something i dont thanks.

so i swapped in a 91 ecu and the car runs fine looks like it was my ecu after all, now i have to find someone to repair my old one for me so that i can reuse it since it has all my ecmlink data and tuning specs. i will see how long this 91 works in my car cause iam sure i read somewhere that i need to swap some pins but hopefully it will hold out till i get my original one repaired.
oh and the fault in the ecu was the #55 (power transistor 2&3) pin was not sending a signal to the power transistor module
