Hey guys-

Im thinking about selling my Eclipse and getting a Talon.... long story. Anyways, whats the interior differences of a talon and eclipse?

What are the differences of a GST vs. a TSI?
Same options and stuff?

Ive been searching a bit and the only threads ive seen are about the exterior differences.

Thanks guys.

Its funny that you say that. I got in heated argument with a guy at Napa when i was ordering my wheel hub assembly. He asked me what car i have and i said 1995 Talon Tsi and i just mentioned fwd. Then he goes the tsi's are awd. Then i said no i have the tsi fwd not awd. We went back and forth and I basically insulted him as he thought I knew nothing about my car. So i just told him that i must have the only 4g63 powered turbo fwd talon in the world and left. I don't wanna buy a part from a guy who knows nothing.

I know how that stuff is, Whenever you go to a parts store say you have an eclipse gsx or gst. Then you will get the right parts no problem.

Look in the napa parts books for yourself, if you look up a fuel filter for a turbo talon and a n/t talon (2g's) you will see they list the same part number. WRONG. They list the n/t fuel filter for both cars, I learned this the hard way, had to return the fuel filter after I tore my car apart to change it to get the correct one. Now I just say eclipse gsx

Aside from the bodykit look of the Talon, how are they any more "shiznet" than Eclipses? Sorry but the spoiler looks better on the Eclipses IMO, as well as the rear lights. Oh and the top half of the car being black kinda turns me off too. Also, don't the '97-'99 Eclipse headlights not come on the post-'96 Talons? Other than that, yeah I don't see much difference.

I realize this was an interior thread, but since the interiors are basically identical (with the edge going to Eclipses thanks to the 99, and some remote thingy) I figured the guys above must be talking about the exterior. Just my $.02.

I think we're all being sarcastic. Notice how every single person who replied to that has a talon?

And uh...yeah...Talons are the shiznit

<----- has a talon.

Ok ok how bout this...

no matter what kinda of DSM you have...Eclipse...Talon...Laser....

Atleast its not a honda ;):thumb:

I got a Talon b/c every 16 yr old girl in my town has an eclipse but none of them had a Talon. I just think they look cooler but eclipses look cool too. i don't like the black roof but i love the taillights be/c they have that sporty exotic look.

In reply to the question about the homelink garage door opener, Yes, my 96 Talon TSI AWD has it. So at least ONE Talon does have it.

Yes, thank you, I saw that everyone who replied had one. I was just wondering if there was anything behind it, that's all...like what their reasoning was. That's kinda why I was pointing out differences.

yeah i saw this sweet 1987 type R prelude wtih a 2ft wing the other day get air bourn when he double clutched and sprayed some nos, but then he blew the welds on the intake manifold.

alright im done sorry for hijacking the thread

Admittedly, more ricer's choose 2Gs over 1Gs...but it's because they look better. I could find 80x as many pics of 2Gs that look better IMO, and that of most on this board, than the 1G you posted, sorry.

Not trying to start a 1G vs 2G war here, just sayin the 2Gs on a whole simply look better.

I think it all has to do with preference there. It's comparing apples to oranges. They share the same motor but they are two different cars. You can't just say 2g's look better than 1g's. I personally like the look of 1g's when they aren't rusted out or have horribly faded paint because of their age. The only thing i hate about the 1g's because i used to own one is the damn interior. The interior sucks on a 1g more than any car i have ever seen. The awesome interior on the 2g is what sold me to get a 2g. Although i don't like how we share the same interior as a sebring and a avenger but oh well....
