Cockpit differences of 2g Talon and Eclipse

Hey guys-

Im thinking about selling my Eclipse and getting a Talon.... long story. Anyways, whats the interior differences of a talon and eclipse?

What are the differences of a GST vs. a TSI?
Same options and stuff?

Ive been searching a bit and the only threads ive seen are about the exterior differences.

I think there are some differences, but only small details though.

A TSI is pretty much the same as a GSX. A GST is FWD where the TSI is AWD. Interior is the same except for the Eagle logo on the drivers airbag.

There is just a Tsi and also a Tsi AWD.

But as for the differences, there arent any that I am aware of. Other than on the wheel rather than a on the wheel.

TSI = GST
TSI AWD = GSX

Alright thanks guys.

Reason I asked was i was looking for a 3000gt vr4 or tt stealth and found that even though they were the same car, the mitsu had a hell of a lot more options than the dodge.

I thought it might be the same story with the talon and eclipse. good to know that if I decide to sell the gst for a tsi awd that I wont be missing any of the things Im used to.

Now...

Are there any differences between the cockpits of a 2ga and 2gb?

No, except in 99 the eclipse could be had with full black interior (minus the lower half of the dash)

Eclipses have power antennas, and the DIN cable for the remote CD changer is already there, unlike the Talons.

I thought the Talons came with the all grey (or tan) interior where you can get the black/grey interior (which looks way better) with Eclipses. Otherwise the interiors are all the same except the logos on the steering wheel.

Yup, the 99's also got some other stuff.. white face gauges and some had a streaky pattern on the seats.

Do the talons come with the Homelink garage door buttons on the visor? My eclipse has them but i've never heard of the talon's with them.

Ive owned a 97 talon (non turbo), 95 talon (turbo) and a 99 eclipse (tubo AWD)... and I can tell you I have noticed very very few differences other than the 99 being the top model has a few options that NO OTHER dsm came with... ie black leather.

other than that they are all pretty much the same... and if ur a tuner ur gonna change stuff ne way so... my opinion, just get the best deal and save ur bucks for mods

i have a 97 tsi with full black leather minus the lower dash which is tan... maybe the previous owner swapped it

But to my knowledge NO the talon's don't come with the "cockpit controls" that you're thinking of. I own a gs and a tsi and the gs has the controls your speaking of but the TSI dosen't.

Its funny that you say that. I got in heated argument with a guy at Napa when i was ordering my wheel hub assembly. He asked me what car i have and i said 1995 Talon Tsi and i just mentioned fwd. Then he goes the tsi's are awd. Then i said no i have the tsi fwd not awd. We went back and forth and I basically insulted him as he thought I knew nothing about my car. So i just told him that i must have the only 4g63 powered turbo fwd talon in the world and left. I don't wanna buy a part from a guy who knows nothing.
