Clutch/RPM Drop...

I've searched and nothing has been able to help me.

This problem never happened on my 7bolt motor, and I don't remember it happening when I installed this new motor. ACT 2600 Clutch on stock flywheel. When I even touch the clutch peddle and move it inward a little, I mean just a little, the rpm's drop alot!. RPM set to 900 and timing is right. I touch the peddle and it drops to like 450. when I start the motor cold, I can't press the clutch or it will die.

Start the car and remove the wiring from the neutral safety/clutch pedal switch. Then press the clutch and see if it still does it.

Ok, Will Do. However I can't start it up right now, oil pan is being dropped. However.

What if it still does it after switch is disconnected?

What if it doesn't after switch is disconnected?

I have the same motor and clutch.

It turned out the motor walked.

Check your crank play.

I had a used 7bolt recently put in my car and it was fine for a week. Running the Fidanza 4.3 clutch kit and it was all good for a week. I started to notice that RPMs were dropping with the clutch pressed in and would go back up when I released the clutch. Ended up having crank walk.

my engine does it too but it isnt walking. it only drops by like 150rpms when i push the cluch in, not as bad as yours.

Mine only dropped a little bit also, but inevitably walked. RPM drop is crank play though as it shouldn't happen with a hydraulic setup or any setup for that matter.

That doesn't always matter, it's just a possible side effect. Kind of like on the back of a medicne bottle except crank walk would be, dropped clutch, rpm drop, etc (can't remember rest off hand). I only had the rpm symptom and then a few days later had major engine noise and stalling issues. Now, just because you have the drop, that doesn't ALSAWYS mean you will have CW. Some people get lucky and hopefully you don't have it though.

oh man! mine does it to. its a 98 gsx. just had the car for about three weeks now. i mean it's very little maybe like 100 rpms.
