a little less than a week ago, i dumped my (act 2100) clutch at like 6k. since then my car hasnt run properly. i took it to my mechanic, and after two days of looking at it, he tells me i need a new pressure plate. since then, i have ordered a new 2100 kit (should be here tuesday) and have been driving my car to and from work (3 miles from my house).
i know obviosuly to expect that when i engage the clutch to feel resistance and slipping, but there has been a couple instances that make me worrying if its more than just the clutch thats the problem, for example...
upon parking it at my mechanic, while pulling into a parking spot (wheels turned all the way to the left) the car started stuttering, some sort of chugging, not backfiring, its kind of hard to explain.
also, this happened again today on my way in to work except i was turning towards the right. both times i wasnt in gear.
also this morning when parking at my house i was backing into my spot, while somewhat slipping the clutch, i got some wheels spinning (gravel driveway), and it sounded like it was only the rear wheels spinning
my question is this, could these symptoms occur solely from my pressure plate being bad, or should i take it back in and have them look for further damage elsewhere too? (granted it already took them 2 days just to find the pressure plate was bad in the first place.)
thanks in advance

BUT, he did tell me my slave cylinder was shot, and needed to be replaced. so after fixing that im going for a drive and that shit ass noise when i crank the wheel is back. PLUS some new ticking noise that ticked according to how fast the wheels were moving, NOT at the speed of my RPM's. <--meaning the tick was non-existant when not in motion. so i went back to my tranny shop, and he almost immediately knew it was the cv joints and seals.
