hey guys ive been having some problem with my clutch...ok about a month ago it felt like crap, it was slipping, hard to put into gear, etc. So i took it to an import place and it had a bad master cylinder so that got replaced. It somewhat fixed the problem, but outta nowhere the pedal pressure kept changing on me, it would get hard, then way too soft outtanowhere and it would get kinda tough to get into gear when it would lose the pressure. Took it back and they said there was a kink in the hose and they replaced it. Got it back but still the same problem. So my brother and I bled the master cylinder a good 3 times now, but the problem persists.

So basically the clutch will feel completely fine, then outta nowhere the feels like the pedal loses pressure by a lot and it gets really really soft, and i have to pump it a lot to get it back on, but later again, the same thing happens. But keep in mind ive already bled it, so i highly doubt theres air in the system. what else can it be? thanks!!!

fyi, my car is a 98 eclipse gst 5 speed

i dont have a link for you but its sounds like the master cylinder is misadjusted. On 2g's if its not right the pedal can "pump up" then it wont act right until its sat for abit and bled off the pressure. do a couple searches for 2g clutch adjustment and pedal pump up and youll see what I'm talking about.

You may want to check the slave as well. Just peel the boot off of it and see if there is any fluid there. If so, replace it. And don't take it anywhere, its held on by 2 bolts and a banjo.
