I was driving to work yesterday and I noticed my clutch slipping horribly... it had been doing it just a little bit before, but nothing too noticeable. well, all of a sudden yesterday it got so bad that i wasn't even able to let the turbo engage because the it seemed like the clutch wasn't able to hold the extra power from the turbo. Well, i was almost to work, so i coudln't turn around, but on the drive home, the road i was going on had a speed limit of 55, i tried to speed up to 55, but i maxed out at 45 and coudln't speed up anymore, gradually i just kept slowing down and there was nothing i could do to speed up, no gear would work to speed up.

So I just want to make sure it has to do with the clutch because when im just sitting there with the car not moving but still running, i can put it in first gear, but let go of the clutch pedal and the car does not die. Even my dad thinks is pretty sure it seems like the clutch went... like the pressure plate is ruined, but I'd rather at least here a couple more opinions before I take it to a shop or try to replace the clutch ourselves.

u check the clutchfork to make sure its moving properly and not stuck or some weird shit?

hmm odd clutches ussually do not just go without a warning you will get slipping for a long time then eventually it would go.. i dont think its your clutch 100% unless you really ####ed it up racing or something

well, the clutch had been slipping for sometime now, but only really noticeable when i would be at WOT when hitting full boost. So sorry to leave that info out. I just didn't think the clutch would just stop working like that all of a sudden without something like breaking... figured i'd at least get some pressure out of it. But i guess 130K miles on the stock clutch (i believe), then with adding some more power to the equation.. i guess it just couldn't handle the power.

well, i know im gettign a new clutch either way... act 2600 sound good to everyone else? i do have the AWD...

oh ya definitly your clutch then!!!!!! better hope you didnt mess the flywheel up !

well, when i take it apart to see, and if the flywheel's crap, what flywheel would anyone suggest? I hear a lot of people recommend the fidanza... then others say don't use anything but ACT...
