westbank,
ive searched on this and cant find anything, i just had my tranny rebuilt and new clutch, but when i press the clutch the slave isnt pushin the pin far enough, so my clutch is not engageing fully. i have bled it many times, put a bigger pin in there and now dont know what to do. i can still drive my car but its really shitty shifting. and i am quite new to this but i cant seem to figure out how to adjust it properly. anyone know what to do?

I bet your clutch pedal assembly is whooped. Push on the clutch pedal and release. Then reach down with your left hand and pull the clutch pedal up towards you. Did it move at all?

I would shim the ball as well. I rebuilt my cluth pedal assembly a few months ago, just to eliminate it as a possible cause. The clutch pedal no longer squeeks, but the clutch still engages close to the floor board (even after adjusting the CMC rod all the way out). I was pretty sure it was the pivot ball/clutch fork. I just don't have time to pull the tranny out right now. (It would have been easier then doing the clutch pedal)

Before you shim anything or monkey w/ the clutch engagement geometry at the tranny. . . Try to adjust the clutch pedal "out" more. This will likely give you a herniated disk and you'll curse DSM transmissions. . .:D

I've had to readjust this for ALL of the pressure plate swaps I've done.

well see my clutch works fine, i dont need to pull it out, it comes out on its own, but when i press it, its not pushing the little pin far enough. and ya its a stock clutch. so to shim the pivote ball, does that mean the tranny has to come back out.

well ive tried to adjust it a bunch of times and it just gets shitier. so i bled it again and finally pressure bled it and it works, thanks for the help,,, not

was I being rude? Is it not possible that what I mentioned could be the problem? . . .You never once mentioned that you adjusted the clutch master cylinder plunger.

I'm glad you fixed the problem. Happy boosting:thumb: .

I'm very glad it wasn't just me that noticed how rude this joker was.

Who was he talking to? All of us? Our VOLUNTARY assistance is obviously of little value.
