Hey to start off I have a 95 eclipse gst with a manual transmission (original) and a act2100 clutch.

Lastnight I drove the car about a 100 miles, stopped at a gas station, then when I get back in my car to leave the station my clutch pedal feels really loose but still engages its just pretty rough going into 1st. Now normally there was quite a bit of pressure when I pushed the clutch in and this is way different. So I let it sit over night and this morning it was fine for about 10 miles then it did the same thing.

When I got the clutch I got an adjustment tool with it. I have no idea what these do or how to use them but maybe I need to adjust the clutch? Or should I try bleeding the clutch lines?

Well I just drained the lines and put new fluids in and made sure i didnt get any air in the system and its still bad. I bought a new slave cylinder but it had to be ordered so hopefully that will help me.

What is the difference in a master cylinder going bad and a slave?

I believe the tool you are referring to that came with the clutch kit is the alignment tool. That tool will not help you adjust your clutch.
The diference between a master cylinder going bad and a slave cylinder going bad is basically where the leak is going to show up. If the master is leaking you will normally see fluid leaking from it on the inside of the car around where the rod comes through the firewall. When the slave is leaking you can tell by pulling the boot back and checking for fluid.
When you drained the lines how did you not get air in the system?
If you flushed the system that would be a diferent story. But if you drained the system completely than you could possibly still have air in it. It can be a pain to get all of the air out of the clutch system.
Also check to see if have any leaks in the metal line or the hoses for the system. :thumb:

Yes I meant to say I flushed the fluid out.

I am pretty sure there is no leaking because the resevoir level is the same as it has always been but it appeared very dirty and looked like it had water in it.
