when i go over a large bump the front right makes an excessive noise. It sounds like something is loose. I have jacked up and checked for play in the steering and suspension. There was no play. My next guess is a bushing in the sway bar. What do you guys think?

first off pull your wheel off then check that both the upper and lower arms have the bolts and nuts on either side. my dad was having the same problem with his silverado and we couldnt tell just buy jacking it up and checking for play with the wheel on. once i took it off it was easy to tell. the only thing holding the bolt in was a brake line that was in the way of it coming out all the way and the nut and washer where gone. hope that helps
