Clicks...

So the other day I start my car and run back in the house to grab something...I come out and right before i get in i hear a slight clicking noise coming from the engine compartment.

I hop in and gas it up a bit...but the clicking only gets faster with the more rpms...any ideas waht it is? Its def coming from drivers side beneath the hood...but I have no idea what it is

Lifters? Or something else?

It sounds like noisy lifters. How much oil does your car consume?

my car doesnt guzzle oil...defiant i dont even know what that IS

Grab another one and replace it. Used will probably be fine. I'm not sure if it'll pull a CEL if you just unplug it.

It could just be your waterpump, power steering, alternator, or A/C belts going bad. They will get little strands off of them and hit things as they are spinning causing noises like your saying, and of course it will climb with engine RPM's, they are also on the driver side. I would check your belts really good before anything else. I would also take your timing belt cover off, and start the engine and watch for strands coming off on it. But check your belts before you start going into anything else, you don't want to spend money on stuff you don't need.
