Whenever I apply light-medium pressure when braking I hear a tick tick tick tick from the rear of the car. I also hear this same click when I fully stop and let off the brakes and again when I start rolling forward. The rear brakes are brand new so I dont think it is the brakes themselves. Any ideas on what it could be?

Is it only when you apply the brake? Does it do the noise even when you apply the brake, release, apply, release? Is it consistant or is it getting louder?

A little click/tick moan type sound is usually associated with wheel bearings. Alot of people have been getting them lately. Do a search and see if they have the same type of noises as you are all having?

Also try posting this in the PROBLEM DIAGNOSIS section. :thumb:

Its only when I apply the brakes and seemingly in that first instance when the car stops then jerks back a bit(when you come to a complete stop) it will do it then too. There is no noise when the wheels are in motion, only when the brakes are applied. I searched for "wheel bearing" and most came up as a problem with the wheels when they were in motion. So any ideas?

I would say your brakes are being pulled forward (or in the direction of wheel rotation) and fall back into their preferred resting position when you release the brake. Check your pads for all the proper shims spacers and anti-rattle gadgets.

yeah a lot of us are having this same problem... i've been dealing with it for a few months now and i've taking to my mechanic, but we can't figure out what it is. all my bearings and bushings are fine. so i think its my OEM suspension.
i've heard that through the years, parts start creaking and clanking on DSMs.... a fact that is commonly known now! haha i'm thinking its time to upgrade my suspension!!!

Mine started doing it immediately after I had all my wheels balanced at a shop. Im not sure if the reason it is making noise now is because my rotors warped while my wheels were unbalanced, and now that the wheels are balanced, noise is the result of irregular wear. OR,
When they took off the wheels and put them on, they bumped the breakes somehow and now they are contacting wrong or a shim is mising...
I'm going to take apart the brakes this weekend and see what I find. I'll post up any results.
