Only happens when im lightly on the brakes, such as creeping to a stop sign. Brand new brakes. Brand new axels and boots both sides, and brand new control arms. Im not sure if the CV joints are the joints on the control arms but I know those are new and think they may be making the noise. However I dont think its suspension because when im braking the car isnt flexing in anyway, and when I brake harder it activates the suspension and doesnt make the clicking noise.

It just started today and its depressing me :( Brand new brakes front and back, took the wheel off and inspected everything, it all looks solid. Nothing scratching or bumping the wheel, no lose brake lines, everything is clear.

My theory is a warped rotor? Or maybe a bad CV joint? Just started out of nowhere really. I did just recently change my front brakes and the old ones were pretty bad. Honestly the rotor is pretty rust, not gonna lie, but where the brake rubs is clear and smooth.

I am not sure on what the actual problem is and dont want to start spending $ at guesses to fix it. Anyone had this problem before that can educate me on how you found a solution.

Check out the video. Sorry about the wind, focus on the noise as soon as the wind subsides, as that is when I am slowing and you can hear the noise. Btw, I only took it to 10 mph each time before applying brakes

Sounds like the rotor is rubbing against the metal dust cover. Try pushing it back a little bit.

The rotor is definitely in there tight and is not budging. Also think that wheel or another wheel is ounding like the rotor is rubbing. Also the FR brake caliper is loose from the housing. It's not like super lose, but I can push it around when I was changing the brakes last week.

For starters you caliper shouldn't be loose what-so-ever. I can hear a slight clicking but that video is terrible all you can hear is wind. I had a similar issue and it ended up being a warped rotor. Although I didn't have any vibration in the brake pedal. I would take a straight edge to the rotor to see if it is warped.

If your caliper is loose, you're gonna need to replace it anyways, the clicking noise could be it vibrating against the rotor or even the metal shield. Even IF the rotor is warped like Boost and one of your Original theories suggest. Replace the caliper, check the rotor, bend the dust shield back a little bit.

Take your rotors into parts store they can turn them for you. It is cheap. You don't want loose calipers either.

Alright thanks for the info guys, I will start with the rotor and caliper, just really hoping its not suspension related because I don't have a lift and don't want to pay good money to have it put in the shop.

What can cause a warped rotor? I know te old brakes were really worn down, could that have caused it?

You only need a jack and some jack stands to do the suspension.

Rotors car warp due to bad pads, weather, how you ride your brakes. Stuff breaks and I'm sure they have never been changed LOL.
