I'm changed the rear wheel bearing on a 95 awd, and I noticed that while the passenger wheel only is jacked up, and the car is in neutral, I can spin the wheel easily but there is some light resistance associated with clicking noises towards the front. I can't tell if its coming from the t case or the tranny.
What would cause this? Car has a broken front diff (I think, car currently rwd only, hole in tranny by t case) and a welded center diff. Not sure if either of these will cause the clicking or if I have transfer case problems as well.
FYI I did not break the car, idiot before me redline launched with a huge turbo on.
