cleaning inside headlights

Hi

I bought black clear headlights. But there are small dead bugs inside of it. Is there any way to wash them out without removing the lens? I'm planning to put hid so I would want a no residue product

There is no way to get it all out without separating the headlight lens from the housing. You can try to use compressed air, but that most likely will not remove all of the bugs and dirt.

So a methanol's solvent wont do the trick? I tried using compressed air it didn't go. The bugs just need a push to de-glue themselves.

Take the lenses out off the car, fill it with good soapy water and give the lenses a healty shake for a while to really suds things up and the suds will clean out the inside of the lens. Rinse out the soapy water and let dry. Repeat if necessary.

There is a way to seperate the lenses from the housing,on a acura i had you put them in the oven for a few minutes to soften the glue then seperated them carefully and cleaned the inside lenses,then soften the glue again and press them back together

I think the best way is to separate the lenses and be able to clean the whole inside or just pick up a new set

ether take it off of the housing or maybe try high pressure sprayer at the car wash.

I would try soapy water method first if that doesn't work bake them and pull them apart. It's really not that hard to do. I would just reassemble them and let the set for a day inside to get the moisture out.
