So I am getting ready to do the silicon fix to my carrier bearings and have read up on it but I have simple question that I didn't see addressed in any of the write ups. When I had the car on my lift at work and looking through the small holes in the bottom of the carrier bearings it appears that the silicon will contact the part of the driveshaft/bearing that will turn. That just doesn't seem right to me, am I looking at it wrong or does something need to be put in there to keep the silicon off the rotating part of the shaft?
