I currently have an exhaust system I pulled off a 1g TEL. A couple people have commented it may be an ATR exhaust system which isn’t made any more. Apparently this kit was one of the better 1g exhausts ever made. My question is anyone still have one of these? And is there any way to tell? I have looked the exhaust over and have not seen any markings or anything.

Thanks in advance
Jesse

I have a SUPER old ATR catalog from my GN days that I'm looking at and on the photo the downpipe is an O2 eliminator and doesn't look like your piece. The muffler was ATR made with the nametag "pitbull" and your muffler does look like an ATR unit. The catalog has a picture of the old Pruven car because they were a dealer, maybe contact them for some more info.

In my opinion ATR did make good stuff but was also extremely overpriced and I think that was one of their downfalls. Really what is an exhaust but some bent stainless piping? Just someone charges more for something doesn't make it better. The ATR muffles had a great sound though, at least two of them on a Turbo 3.8.

Yes that's an old school ATR exhaust the only way to tell is by the look of the muffler which only ATR made them like that, one of the reason of why that exhaust wasn't as popular as the other choices back then (90's) is because of the price and because it was one of the loudest if not the loudest exhaust out there back then.

Not trying to be an ass but .... that just looks like a piece of straight pipe and a muffler to me:hmm: .... did they not make resonators back then ?????

well as far as I know the only exhausts for 1g dsm's that comes with resonators are the ebay ones because the buschur, atr, thermal, vrs ect ect don't come with ones

Digging up an old thread but just wondered what you ever did with this exhaust? I had one of these and sold it a while but would like to have another. Thanks.

Def and ATR. I have a NOS muffler I'm putting on my 2G. Had these in the old days. Best sounding exhaust ever! Def loud.
