cladding get stuck when door open

from time to time, the cladding on my drivers side door pops a little loose and will get got in the fender well, causing my fender well to be be pushed in so that i can just get out of my door. My question is if anyone has an idea or suggestion for securing the cladding to not get got in my fender. I do plan on getting to car painting soon, but i dont think i will be removing the cladding to do so, so that wont be a big issue. thanks for the help in advance.

3m glue or double sided tape would both fix it for ya

If he's getting a paint job I would assume he's looking for a more permanent fix...

alot of cars come from the factory with double sided tape holding on the side moldings you ever try to remove one that the glue has set in on its not easy

yeah i did it on my car and it worked fine, i have not had any problems for the last year
