Checking wheels width/offset 18x8.5 .

OK guys/gals I've searched how and low...I've even used one of fitment calculators and I'm just checking to see if I should get this wheel or not. I want at least a 8" wide rim 8) It's a 18x8.5 +40 and thinking about running 225/40/18. I plan to re drop my car either with the Tokico Illumina spring kit or use Eibach pro kit springs.

This is one of the wheels I'm looking at:

and the other:
XXR 006

Lucky you, a +40 offset is ideal. By only running a 225/40, you aren't going to have any significant fitment issues, perhaps minor fender rolling in the rear if anything. You'll clear the rear knuckle easily at that tire width. So, if you're looking for verification that those fit: yes.

For reference, I have 18x8.5 +38 235/40R18 -- my gallery should give you an idea for fitment.

I found a couple of other wheels I really like also and I'm thinking about getting them powder coated gloss black.

yup 18x8 work with a 45 mm offset so those shouldnt be a problem, i was gonna get that setup but am going with a 18x8 40mm offset now, i like the rims better

Dont want to be dealing with spacer anymore. I had enough of that with my old 240sx.

the first one will definately fit flush.. the seconds because of the offset might stick out a tad in the front. . and 225/40 is a good size

and just for the style the second ones are not my style

Cool, thanks for the help. I was thinking first set and oem cf hood. Or the second set and no cf hood. I like your opinion. haha
