Hey, I'm ordering these rotors right now. I was just wondering if its only 125 for a pair (2) left and right or is it 125 per rotor. Also how long did it take for you to receive them? cause I'm kinda in a rush to get them.

I think I paid $330 for all rotors, pads, and brake lines, but the brake lines are on back order. Got them from turbo import but becareful because it looks like their boxes are labeled improperly. Took about 8 days to the rotors and pads. They are in Cali, I'm out in IL.

actually the rotors for the 300zx can go on either way.
the slot pattern is not what determines the direction most of the time.
the inner veins determine which way the rotor should be turning if they are set at an angle.
when the inner veins are at an angle they must face the correct direction to scoop in air to cool the rotors.
these 300zx rotors have straight inner veins so they can be put on either
way.
Well, now THAT'S effing backward.

From Brembo's site:

http://hp.brembo.com/edit/faq/#31

"The first two vane types are non-directional, and can be used on either side of the vehicle. The curved vane disc, however, is directional. A curved vane disc must be installed with the vanes running back from the inside to outside diameters in the direction of rotation. Please see figure. Orienting the disc in the manner creates a centrifugal pump. The rotation of the disc causes air to be pumped from the center of the disc, through the vanes, and out through the outside diameter of the disc. This greatly enhances the disc's ability to dissipate heat. "

Gaaah, I can feel the little veins in my brain stretching..... like that time on Star Trek when Kirk was held prisoner by the women in the blue outfits with the things on their necks and he beat them with a logic paradox.....

LOL, was that the "if everything I say is a lie, including this, would you believe me?" episode?

That's the one. So much for the "you a geek?" question. For both of us.

LOL, well, I'm quoting memories from watching it in the mid-70s when I was but a wee little one, LOL, so I'm hoping that exempts me from Geek status :thumb:

That one just stuck in my mind (so to speak), as it confirmed my growing childhood suspicions that this new "mind" thing I was stuck with wasn't the end-all magnificent wonder tool the Big People (aka "adults") were marketing it as.

the first pic.. on the first page.. THEY ARE BACKWARDS>. i had mine that way for a while too (same exact setup) and after swapping them i noticed they were quieter and didnt fade as much..

I have mine installed like the first pic in the first page. But than they stop great this way. I don't know if i should switch them back around bacause they've already had contact with the brake pads and I don't want to have them cut. Also, I noticed that these metal masters have quite a bit of brake dust comming out of it.

cross drilled and slotted rotors generally do nothing to improve performance, and they for damn sure dont make you stop in a shorter distance (as some would have you believe)...Purely aesthetic...Oh, except on motorcycles where they cross drill to reduce unsprung weight which is a major thing with bikes. Damn, and I forgot to mention rally cars like using slotted rotors to scrape away random dirt/debris...

Not correct: vents and slots clear off the gasses from overheated pads which interfere with heat transfer, although on the street it is primarily a styling exercise. Weight on a motorcycle? Those three ounces of shavings aren't going to help in the slightest.
They're not for sweeping crud, even in rallye driving.

That's the cover story I use. I only watched hoping they'd find more roles for Leslie Parrish. sigh. schwiiiing.
