I got the Tsudo N1 on my car and absolutely love it, wouldn't trade it for anything. Sound is pretty good as a catback but as soon as you open up the exhaust it is one of the better sounding exhausts for a 4 banger. You will not be disapointed trust me...and for the price how could you be LOL.

awesome! yea im so sick of mine. i asked the guys who did it for 2.5 inch piping, and they put a magnaflow muffler on it. so i later found out that they stopped just before the o2 sensor. so i bought some 2.5inch piping to replace that section when i was putting my new cat on, and i go to weld it up, and the 2.5inch goes all the way around the pipe they did... then i look at the muffler which i knew was a 2.25 inlet, and the piping is smaller then that inlet too... so i basically got stock piping. and im also sick of my exhaust sounding like a bunch of angry bees. it used to be only when i had just started the car, but since i put my high flow cat on it sounds like that whenever i get on it. grrr so im looking forward to tomarrow, ill be putting it on during 2nd and 3rd period. :thumb:

oh yeah, is there anything i could or should put on it to protect it before i install it? like wax or something? thanks

My only suggestion is to spray the canister with a high temp clearcoat before install, because mine began to get small rust dots on it...once i did this, it stopped the rusting completely.

where do i get one of these cans of high temp clear coat? home depot?

Yeah, I'm wishin I would have wiped down my headers and downpipe when they were put on...oh well, I've gotten used to the purplish tint I guess.

looks great, but a 4.5" tip that must be loud OMG
oh and be prepared with your silencer, they "rattle" a lot :shhh:

I got the same exhaust, I figured at that price I could cut the muffler off and replace it if I didn't like the sound. I was pleasantly surprised. It sounds pretty good. I only have one issue, it had some clearance problems around the rear crossmember, that last flange was rattling against the heat shield and against the spare tire well. I had some of the heat shield cut away and that issue is fixed now. Tomorrow I am going to a muffler shop to have the other issue taken care of and after that it should be even better.

I am not a fan of the 4.5" tip, but you can't beat the price and it really isn't outrageously loud. I had a friend drive my car and I followed and it wasn't that noticeable. I think it is much louder in the car than from outside, and it doesn't drowned out the freaking exhaust sound of some of the pickups and stuff around here.

sorry to be alittle off topic only b/c im a 1g. i have the apexi n1 look alike muffler (4.5" tip) 2.5" Hi-flo cat back. the car is obnoxiously loud LOL. it only had that bee sound at high RPM. i ended up getting a dynomax glasspack muffler from summit and put it right after my hi-flo. no more bee sound ever even at high RPM. It's nice and deep and loud. my car is very unique where i live. all my friend kno i'm coming a few blocks from there house LOL. hopefully ill get some new updated pics of my car fromt he ones in my profile.. the car is totally different with blackouts on the headlights, painted my rims black, and the interior has the tsi seats.

I haven't had any problems with mine, fitment or sound wise. I gotta get another IM before I install my high-flow cat/test pipe and my turbo kit, I can't wait to hear what she sounds like then. :D

well i fell asleep at 6:45 last night and didnt wake up untill now LOL so i didnt have time to get that clear coat stuff. but today is my chance to install it and i dont want to miss it. will it be ok if i dont spray it down untill after its installed?

well here it is installed. it sounds great, there was like a 500 rpm band that it was a little raspy, but it was when i first started it, and its like 28* out, so i dunno how it will sound when its warmer. its not too loud either, it sounds awesome and 10x better then my magnaflow. im very happy with it. as you can see it is at a slight angle. here they are:

Awesome, looks just like mine hehe. :thumb: It'll only get better as all the carbon and blah blah blah...it will sound even nicer! Mine sounds nice at -30 outside and even better when it actually gets above 0. Can't wait to hear after test pipe and turbo are on this summer :D

i feel soo bad for you. i hate chicago winters with a passion! i cant imagine living in a perminent winter. i hate snow! but yea i can smell the sweet burning smell of fresh exhaust components. LOL same smell i got with my header. it sounds great and it seems like the raspyness is going away(although there wasnt much to begin with, it lasts a split second in each gear and isnt nearly as bad as my old exhaust) i love this thing.

one funny thing, i left my auto class cuz i had to go to the doctor, and all the kids are like "get on it! get on it!" so i pull on to the street and floor it. when i saw my auto teacher later that day he told me laughing "hey you got me in trouble haha some study hall teacher came running down saying that you were going 100 down the street!" haha it was hilarious. i was only going 65 in a 25  come on! LOL

Looks pretty killer man, and it's a hell of alot cheaper than my Apex'i N1 catback :thumb: ah well, I'm one of those namebrand whore type of guys I guess

ya i usually am too. thats whhy i dot an aem intake and not some ebay one. but i didnt want to spend a whole lot on a header so i got the tsudo one, and it was cheap and had nice work, and i hadnt heard any thing but good reviews about the cat back, so i got it and i am very happy

if your sounds anything like my N1, it'll be a little raspy until you get to NOT, then it'll sing quite nicely. At about 3500 RPM she sounds awsome

she sounds great throughout the whole rpm range during normal driving. when i get on her she gets a tad bit raspy for like 500 rpms, but its probably not noticable to the normal person. but i notice. but its sooo much better then my magnaflow im so happy with it :D

Looks exactly like my apex N1 and for half the price cant beat that i guess i paid 500$ for purple tubing

haha its alright, im sure yours is of a little better quality. hey, where you located in illinois? north or south of chicago?

GsGoin Fast...when you insatleed it did you do it yourself?...and did it bolt right up or did you have to weld or cutsom fab anything...alos was the car lifted in the air or did you install it on the ground...Just curious b/c i'm most likely gonna get this and woudl liek to install i t myself. I know how it's just a matter of how hard would it be to do it since i have no access to a welder.
