2G Check Engine Light

So when I bought the car the turbo was blown. I replaced the turbo and the car would idle funny(idle high until a/c was turned on). So then I continued to clean out the intake system(except intake manifold), including intercooler. I took out the IAC and cleaned it as well. btw i used Brake Cleaner. I let everything dry completely. Once i put everything back together the car would idle fine. Then the "check engine" light came on. Took it to auto store and they said it was intake air control system. I deleted the error code and it was fine for about 15 miles then it came on again. any ideas how to fix it? 97 GST

spoke with someone today about this. I recently took out my IAC and cleaned it. They told me i need to reflash my ecu, or reset my ecu. not sure how much thats gonna cost. but my car is running fine so if its expensive i'll just live with the Check engine light....

Re-flash your ECU??? why? If you want to clear you check engine light just disconnect the negative battery terminal or just drive to a auto-zone and have them clear the codes.

yeah i did but it came back on.... its weird bc before i cleaned the intake it idled funny with no check engine light. now it runs fine but i throw the light.

Possibly something going on besides that sensor if the problem was truly fixed you shouldnt have a cel pop up again, and if the code was cleared.
