check engine light getting me mad

okay guys and gals, as you can see just bought me a 91 gsx. now trying to smog it but the check engine light is on. jux did a oil change and coolent flush. it kinda weird, the light will come on after lik 5-10 min driving. turn off car and start car again and check engine light will be off and if i drive 4 a long period of time it will somtimes go off. so i just want to know if any of yall have a similar problem if so please help

updated: okay just did a 12v buzzer thingy. code came up 31, so it a knock sensor. what to do next?

Yeah. You need to get the CEL code.
