My friends 90 talon tsi Fwd check engine light is flashing, he just gave me a call saying the car drives perfectly fine but the check engine light would flash, actually i think it's more of a blinking on and off. It sounds like a sensor is loose. How would i pull the code if it's blinking like that though? would it be stored?? I have a datalogger using MMCd so we could try and scan it but, anyone else ever have this problem?

If MMCD has a diagnostic function it should read it. I'm not familiar with that particular software, I use pocketlogger software. Regardless, get the CEL read, its there for a reason, and if it is a sensor it will let you know which one.
