cheapest place for BG Synchroshift

I've been on the internet for about 2 hours now, hunting for cheap fluids. Mainly water wetter and bg synchroshift. For 3 quarts of bg and 1 bottle of wetter the best I've got so far is about $55. I'm on a tight budget and would really like to find this for cheaper! Any help is greatly appreciated.

The RRE page above says that they do not recommend it for anything other than the tranny. However, a lot of people (including myself) use it in the tranny and the transfer case because it will do the job and because the total capacity of those two items is about 3 qts., and that's how much is normally purchased (since you need 2.5 for the tranny).

you meant 2.1 for the tranny right?......not trying to argue....just want to be sure. http://www.roadraceengineering.com/eclfluids.htm says 2.1

Ooooh, sorry. Yup. 2.1 for FWD, 2.3 for AWD.

I have AWD, and I just always round up the capacity to 2.5 by habit.

I use it.

I've used BG before, but recently switched to Pennzoil Syncromesh, the grinding is less severe, I say get this stuff instead its cheaper anyway and can be bought at you local auto parts store for about $6 a quart

I would search the local stores. They have it for about the same price, but you don't have to wait atleast 3-5 days for it to arrive. Just call around.

Pennzoil Synchromesh is only $4.80 a quart at AutoZone, and is rated about as high as BG.

i wouldnt use it in you transfercase. i got royal purple diff fluid for my old gsx and it held up for the life of the 3 bolt rear end. . i got outta that car and into my FWD right quick. haha

local dsm guy that builds tranny's and does all the work for us down in tampa recommends the syncromesh $5/qt at autozone, if it's good enough for his 10 sec mirage it's good enough for me

Not at Fox Chevrolet in Maryland. I paid something like $14/qt. Never again.
