Cheap Rims for my daily driver

I just picked up a 1995 talon esi ( $550 .. that's why I didn't buy a turbo model ) and wanted to make it look nice just to drive around. I bought tints which I didn't put on yet and it's getting painted next week. Since it just had stock steelies with some 14" ghetto hub caps I put on a set of gsx rims. ( I also have a 1997 gsx ) What do you guys think? Has anyone done these rims before on a 2g talon?

I have another pic but for some reason I can't upload it ... car has a 3" drop as well so there is absolutely no wheel well gap but it's not ghetto either to where it's tucking in. What do you all think?

did u say u paid $550 for that car? how much miles did it have and what state did u buy it in? and were there any problems with it?

yea ... $550. I live in Chicago area, IL. 128000 miles. Car wasn't shifting when I bought it and has a rough idle. Also has a rattle by the exhaust. Turns out the shifter linkage on the trans was bent a little and missing the clip for 1 of the cables so the cable wasn't held in place .. the rattle is a crack in the exhaust, and the idle is probably just a dirty throttle body / sensors. Oh and the miles and speedo don't work but I'm just gonna replace the speed sensor. Not a fan of the N/T but for that price I had to buy it

Hehe thanks man. Next time it will be me banging my head against the wall thinking ... "why do I have 2 dsms on jackstands and my only car that runs is a 1990 cavalier with 156000 miles!?!?!?"

Holy!? 550? Did the coilovers come with the car?

Anyways, back on topic...it looks good. The car would look even sexier if the rims were painted a darker color to match the tint IMO. Nice find anyhow.

yes coilovers came with car ... they are some no name brand ones though. Oh and the drivers side door has a big key mark going down it ... forgot to mention that. That's why it's getting painted tho

yea true. i do that with 1gs and have made quite a bit of money with the last 5 cars i parted. now on my 6th and 7th. im loooking to buy a 2g as a daily driver though
