I thought it was the TOB, but the noise is more audible from the driver side of the car. I had the TOB chatter before when my clutch was about to go on my other GSX, but it was obviously coming from the transmission.

The transmission/pedal/shifting feels the same. But the noise can get annoying at times. Sometimes it doesnt even get noisy at all. But more so then not. Just by resting my foot on the clutch pedal it will go away. Imagine pressing it down 2% the noise goes away and its all good.

Any suggestions.

redturboeclipse,

I am having the exact same problem right now. Did you ever figure out what was wrong? And how'd you correct it?

If left untreated, this would be the eventual outcome of a bad throwout bearing:

This clutch was in my friend Christi's car. The throwout bearing began to make noise until one day she pushed in the clutch and heard a loud bang.

Thanks for the quick responses. I just put 450 miles on a new clutch and this just started happening. I suspected the TOB but was hoping it was something really easy, and stupid. Thanks for all your help!
