My throttle cable froze, so I decided to replace it and eliminate the CC. So I replaced it today and took out all of the CC crap. I go to start it....and it won't turn over. It tries to start, just won't actually up and run. I grabbed the CC crap and plugged it in, but still won't turn over. HELP ME! I HAVE to have this car running tomorrow or else I can't get to work. Any ideas?

Check your coilpack connections and make sure all sensors in that area you worked are plugged in. If all is plugged in check for spark on all cylinders and then check for fuel and report back.

Checked, double checked, and triple checked. Everything is plugged in, all fuses are ok, and I have spark. The only sensor that I unplugged was the one going to the cruise controll. It started up this before I replaced the cable, so I don't know what I could have done to screw it up.

Take some carb spray and spray into the intake tract while cranking. If it tries to start, it's fuel. You have 2 possible scenarios. 1 Fuel pump just up and died. Entirely possible.

2 Lost injector pulse. If you have spark and no injector pulse, I'd look closely at the connectors on the engine. Use a test light and with the key on, check for 12 volts at the injector harness. If you have 12 volts, hook your test light on the positive post of your battery. Have someone crank your engine and test the other side of the connector. If it is a steady light or no light at all, there's your problem. Possible bad connection or as a last thought, dead pcm. If it flickers then likely you missed the fuel pump diagnosis. If the fuel pump is sending and the injectors are clicking and you have spark, it should run.

One last thing. God Forbid, does the engine sound normal when cranking? Or does it sound like something like the timing belt just let go? Happened to me. Leave nothing to chance. If it can go wrong, sooner or later it will. Not pessismistic, just the truth.

Good Luck
